There was much controversy surrounding The Batman eighth season episode, Get Down. It was a "special episode", featuring nudity and as usual for these episode, the opening featured a title card specifically telling the viewers what was going to be shown in the episode. The other two "special episodes" also aired this opening and were only mildly controversial, though they were a success, so NBC allowed them to continue doing this once per season as long as they aired this title card. However, due to the title card being shown a shorter amount of time and the episode actually being extended to feature more nudity, NBC was sued. However, the case was dropped soon after due to the previous two episodes having the same title card. However, NBC was forced to pay a fine of $15,000 due to the title card being shortened.
